Garpenhus once again highlights a single artistic career as they now present Per Ansner. Unlike the vast majority of his painting colleagues, Ansner never sold his works. This is also the reason why his name is so rarely seen on the market. But now, Garpenhus Auktioner is offering 49 works by the artist, who was trained at the Skånska målarskolan. Many of his compositions seem to take inspiration from Jean Arp’s world of forms, only to then set sail into a mature modernism with highly varied color palettes.
