Lights in the dark

But there’s more. With over 90 models in total, the selection provides a cross-section of Scandinavian lighting design from the 20th century. Here, renowned designs are mixed with lesser-known pieces, and it’s fair to say there’s something for everyone. Among the well-known designers featured are Carl Fagerlund, Hans-Agne Jakobsson, and Bent Boysen. IKEA contributes a few classics from their extensive range, as do the great glassworks of Flygsfors and Orrefors. But who created that delightful stained birch floor lamp? Perhaps it will remain a well-kept secret.
