Örebro Stadsauktioner ties into a centuries-old tradition as they present well over 100 lots under the theme Asiatic. Amidst pagoda landscapes, battle scenes, and delicate garden depictions, we are offered Eastern craftsmanship in underglaze blue colors, more vibrant enamels, and the subtle tones of a pair of silk paintings. Two roasting dishes represent the now classic East India trade goods from China, while the Imari porcelain exemplifies Japanese ideals in a theme spanning several centuries.
Among the most exciting items are a hexagonal Chinese wig stand with delicate painting.
