Once upon a time, long, long ago, people looked to the sky to get a sense of the time of day and the time of year. However, several centuries and numerous scientists later, one can obtain a perfect time indication with just a glance at the wrist. As we welcome 2024, the wristwatch may now be more of an accessory than primarily a timepiece. This becomes evident as Auktionshuset Thörner & Ek presents a theme with over 100 variations to tell time. One of them is Steen Christiansen's and Erling Anderson's "Picto," exuding the essence of the 80s. Another, considerably more classic, comes from the Omega steel watch. And a third is presented in the form of Enicar's black dial, which has a few decades behind it. But, as mentioned, these are just three examples of over a hundred.
