Karlstad Hammarö Auction House welcomes you to Autumn’s Quality!
Naturally, a number of masterpieces from Värmland constitute some of the auction’s highlights. These include paintings by Lars Lerin, Erling Ärlingsson, and Bror Lind (plus Wenzel Björkhagen’s atmospheric Blue Cemetery, not to be missed), as well as a magnificent cabinet featuring Värmland motifs and another showcasing landmarks of Karlstad.
Alongside these, visual art by Axel Kargel, Bengt Lindström, and Lena Cronqvist can be seen, as well as graphics by both Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. Several of the auction’s furniture pieces were designed by Bruno Mathsson. Among exquisite Swedish art glass, the Finnish artist Timo Sarpaneva stands out with his Sleeping Bird. Nearby, luxurious Danish tableware is displayed alongside Chinese porcelain, antique silver, and exclusive wristwatches.
Some of the auction’s most unusual lots include a German ocean liner, a spectacular hanging chair from IKEA, a harp, and a table oil lamp seemingly made for turn-of-the-century authors, alchemists, and voracious readers who enjoy late-night work sessions.
Photographs of The Beatles form a chapter of their own and are sold with full economic rights transferring to the buyer.
