Auctionet's spring quality auction 2023 is here! With over 1,200 lots and 31 participating auction houses, it's the largest one so far. And undoubtedly also Sweden's most eclectic auction. How about graphics by David Hockney and Andy Warhol, Per Gessle's Ferrari, ceramics by Pablo Picasso, and Sweden's first typewriter?
The art section features several works by Lotte Laserstein, Bengt Lindström, and Gerhard Nordström, a landscape with swans by Bruno Liljefors, a summery Johan Krouthén, a floral still life by Isaac Grünewald, and various older paintings. An excellent time document in the form of portraits executed by Ingeborg Westfelt-Eggertz has every chance of surprising.
The crafts section is a smorgasbord of treats in several areas.
On the furniture side, an exceptional dining table by Isidor Hörlin stands out, together with a Lovö cabinet by Axel Einar Hjorth and a pair of very well-maintained Sälen armchairs by Ib Kofod-Larsen. Along with these, there is also an excellent selection of modern Swedish carpets, with Edna Martin's Vintergatan as the crowning cherry on top. Of course, the catalog also includes ceramics by Wilhelm, Kåge Stig Lindberg, and Axel Salto, Orrefors glass, wood figures by Döderhultarn, and much more. Hans-Agne Jakobsson's unusual - and large - B-17 table lamp is an exclamation mark, as is the silver by Wiwen Nilsson. Also among the auction's top lots are a large mosaic by Ernst Billgren, a platinum record related to ABBA, and a pair of exquisite Gustavian candlesticks by Anders Brandt, dated 1787.
