It is said that ceramic objects, primarily various types of vessels, became prominent in conjunction with the emergence of agricultural cultures thousands of years ago. This historical connection echoes now as Stockholm's Auction House presents a well-balanced selection of modern ceramics. For those who have taken an interest in this field, the names are familiar. The master of the potter's wheel, Berndt Friberg, is, of course, represented. One highlight is a vase with a shimmering blue-gray hare's fur glaze, its color shifts reminiscent of celestial events. A unique piece with a distinctive expression (note the Mona Lisa smile on the man in the checkered sweater) by Lisa Larson is worth highlighting. Additionally, Knud Basse's expressive black vases make a statement. Alongside these, there are a few deep blue vases by Sven Wejsfelt, recently presented individually in a well-received theme at Stockholm's Auction House. Stig Lindberg also contributes with some distinctly Lindberg-esque creations. Besides these greats, works by Gunnar Nylund, Carl-Harry Stålhane, Annikki Hovisaari, and Isak Isaksson can be found.
