A pair of bananas by Isaac Grünewald, a Midsummer celebration by Bengt Nordenberg, and a highly sought-after dining table by Hans J Wegner – there we have three of the ingredients in Crafoord Auctions 100-lot strong mutual theme Crafoord Curated.
Alongside these, works by artists such as Bengt Lindström, Olle Baertling, and Xan Krohn can be seen. Hans Gedda's portrait of Nelson Mandela is one of the theme's photographs, and from late 18th-century England, a fireplace wreath with intricate carved decoration has been sourced. On the craft side, a small masterpiece by Kåge in Farstagods, a Goliat figure by Åke Holm, a well-preserved example of Barbro Nilsson's Falurutan, and an Öhrström vase that is quite impressive can be seen. A particularly special highlight in the auction is the wristwatch from Jaeger-Lecoultre in the Ultra Thin Jubilee Edition.
Welcome!
