Of circular form, the hinged lid engraved with an archangel proclaiming to a female in contemporary long dress and bonnet ‘and she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins’, the base engraved with a farmer and 'horse’ drawn plough, below the name and date ‘John Wilkinson / 1761’, 8cm diameter.

Condition

minor repair to lid near hinge, tarnishing, piece missing to side, some minor dents.
