Oblong folio (c. 215x280 mm.). 749 pp. Engraved title within engraved and historiated border, 175 engraved maps (lacking 1 map [Germany] according to index) with world map with two hemispheres, the pole, the four continents, many maps of Europe together with North Africa, a few of Asia (China) and America at the end.
Condition: World map with small dampstain to outer margin, slightly affecting frame, minor burnhole to upper margin on platemark; the continents with same dampstain and with dampstain to upper part; two maps with small burnhole (Hassia and Virginia /Florida), small spot to India orientalis, Denmark with small hole. Overall some foxing and spotting. Some maps towards the end with some vapor stains to the margins, some foxing.
Título prestato con un grande reparación, no affectar a texto, alcuni stintas, parte erradable signature dated 1872; etched titolo con tear-reparado a centro, alcosa creasing, alcosa la parte superior, menparo a menoramento a minora no interno; testo e mapas con alcosa a la primera, partly con alcosa spotting. Title and a few leaves in the beginning with some creasing. Latin text.

Contemporary full vellum binding, partly worn and rubbed, boards partly warped. Boards partly stained and browned, many notes in ink on both boards. Endpapers creased.
