Description

A Meissen cup and saucer, painted with a variety of flowers and insects, and with encrusted flowers to the exterior of the cup and underneath the saucer (saucer 13.5cms diameter, cup 5cms high), both with crossed swords mark in underglaze blue. Also with a similar cup and saucer with AR (Augustus Rex) mark to the base (saucer 11cms diameter, cup 4cms high). (4).

Condition

Meissen cup and saucer, saucer - some wear to the rim, small nibbles to the feet, various small chips/nibbles to the flowers and leaves underneath, cup - some wear to the rim, flowers and leaves with some small chips/nibbles in places, wear to the gilding on the handle.
Other cup and saucer, saucer - wear to the rim, nibbles to the flowers underneath, hairline crack from the rim into the centre (4cms long), cup - wear to rim, small nibbles/chips to the leaves and flowers on the exterior.
