the 6 1/2" gilt dial with enamel Roman and Arabic numeral plaques signed 'Payne 165 New Bond Street, London', on a brass chain driven single fusee movement, also signed, the waisted boulle case of red tortoiseshell with brass floral decoration throughout, glazed front and side panels with further inlay to the interior, with scrolling ormolu mounts and an eagle finial, with pendulum and keys, height 51cm.
