Crafoord Auktioner, Vårkvalité, 2023

Pablo Picasso, Wiwen Nilsson, and Gerhard Nordström are some of the creators behind the pieces in Crafoord Auktioner's Spring Quality Auction 2023 in Lund. Now, the catalog is here! Welcome to explore a carefully curated selection of art, antiques, jewelry, and design.
But let's start in Finland with a work by the central figure in Finnish ceramics, Rut Bryk. Her many years at Arabia have made her name widely known. At one point, she shared a studio with Birger Kaipiainen. Her production is extensive, but larger wall reliefs are not as numerous. The square-shaped piece in the auction depicts two birds pecking at what is on the ground. The color palette is subdued, typical for Bryk, and stands in stark contrast to Pablo Picasso's bright aquatint print "Fumeur II." The print is rare at auction and holds high international quality. Equally domestic are Gerhard Nordström's nature depictions. The same goes for the auction's selection of rölakan carpets, among which we find Märta Måås-Fjetterström's "Röda åttan" (Red Eight). In addition to these, we also see samples of Simon Gate's visual art, have the opportunity to choose from a variety of Wiwen Nilsson's craftsmanship, and enjoy two Norwegian drink pitchers with centuries of history. The auction also includes a Rolex Datejust, Swedish antique silver, a stunning graal vase by Edvin Öhrström, and much more.
Welcome!
