Wictor, Jan. (Pseudonym for Torgny Greitz and Lars Gyllensten). Camera obscura. Poems by Jan Wictor. A unique copy of this mythological book written by Torgny Greitz and Lars Gyllensten as a drift with the emerging modernism in literature. Albert Bonnier's publisher, Stockholm, 1946. On the half-title page a dedication from the authors: "This book is printed in 1200 copies of which this is No. 1 for Ingmar Flodström - our old friend, the bibliophile etc. from the friends, the poets Lasse Gyllensten - Torgny Greitz." On the back of the half-title page a full-page ink drawing of "TG - 2 pinksit " and on the title page an ink drawing of "L. G. pinx. " 8vo in a red morocco binding with gilt spine text and gilt decoration down th of front cover. Front cover bound. 60 p., (III).
Camera obscura was published by Bonnier's publisher in the fall of 1946 and received a respectable reception from several critics. After some time, however, it was revealed that the whole thing was a hoax, and that the book was a parody of the poetry of the Forties. Behind the author's name hid the medical students Lars Gyllensten and Torgny Greitz, who had written the collection of poems in a few hours during one evening by one selecting 'suitable' words from books and the other putting them together into poems, and then the book was provided with a pretentious Preface. The aim was to expose what they considered to be the obscure and arbitrary language usage of contemporary modernist poetry that was in vogue at the time. Source Wikipedia.
The band with light traces of use. A good copy.

Pablo Picasso, Wiwen Nilsson, and Gerhard Nordström are some of the creators behind the pieces in Crafoord Auktioner's Spring Quality Auction 2023 in Lund. Now, the catalog is here! Welcome to explore a carefully curated selection of art, antiques, jewelry, and design.
But let's start in Finland with a work by the central figure in Finnish ceramics, Rut Bryk. Her many years at Arabia have made her name widely known. At one point, she shared a studio with Birger Kaipiainen. Her production is extensive, but larger wall reliefs are not as numerous. The square-shaped piece in the auction depicts two birds pecking at what is on the ground. The color palette is subdued, typical for Bryk, and stands in stark contrast to Pablo Picasso's bright aquatint print "Fumeur II." The print is rare at auction and holds high international quality. Equally domestic are Gerhard Nordström's nature depictions. The same goes for the auction's selection of rölakan carpets, among which we find Märta Måås-Fjetterström's "Röda åttan" (Red Eight). In addition to these, we also see samples of Simon Gate's visual art, have the opportunity to choose from a variety of Wiwen Nilsson's craftsmanship, and enjoy two Norwegian drink pitchers with centuries of history. The auction also includes a Rolex Datejust, Swedish antique silver, a stunning graal vase by Edvin Öhrström, and much more.
Welcome!
