Description

GALLERY DE FLORENCE. MONGEZ, ANTOINE - VICAR, JEAN-BAPTISTE JOSEPH. Tableaux, statues, bas-reliefs and cameos from the gallery of Florence and the Pitti Palace, designed by Wicar, and engraved under the direction of C. L. Masquelier. Large folio (560x360 mm). With engraved frontispiece and 192 (of 200, lacking issue 49 and 50 with 8 plates) engraved plates. Most plates carry two prints - the upper showing usually a painting but sometimes a piece of ancient sculpture; the lower, one or two ancient engraved gems.
