Almquist 2613. The first edition was published in 1889-94. The work describes public libraries, lending libraries and private book collections in Sweden from the Middle Ages to 1900, and concludes with a list of Swedish bookbinders through the ages. The work also contains a lot of biographical information about librarians, book collectors and bookbinders.
Gösta Mittag-Leffler's collection of mathematical writings is considered one of the world's foremost. As a curiosity, it can be mentioned that Mittag-Leffler partially financed his book collecting by buying and selling a large holding in Idun's printing house, which printed this second edition.
No remarks.
