Roger de Bussy-Rabutin, born April 18, 1618 and died April 9, 1693, was a French soldier and writer. Bussy-Rabutin became a member of the French Academy in 1665, and published Historie amoureuse de Gaules, Mémoires, Lettres, Nouvelles lettres, as well as a Histoire abrégée de Louis le grand.
