Sparrman, Anders, disciple of Linné, (1748-1820). Voyage to Goda Hopps - The Cape, the South Pole Circle and around the Globe, as well as to the Hottentot and Caffer Lands, Years 1772-76. The first part. (of III). Printed by Anders J. Nordström, Stockholm, 1783. 8vo in a contemporary half-French binding with gilt spine text, sparse gilt spine decoration marbled covers and blue cuts. XIV (mispaginated XV), 766 p. + 9 extendable copper sticks.

Condition
Note that the expandable map is missing. The band a little stained and rubbed but well held together. Older signatures on front cover pages. The inlay with some layer stains here and there, but nothing hard. Last leaf stained and sunny. One plate layer stained and one mended recto.
