Aldus Pius Manutius, Aldo Pio Manuzzi or Teobaldo Mannucci, born 1450, died 6 February 1515, was an Italian printer, active in Venice. He is considered the father of the Medieval Antikva typeface, and he invented the semicolon. He also became the progenitor of the Venetian printer family Manutius. Source Wikipedia.
