Gottfried Kiesewetter, Stockholm and Upsala, 1745. First edition. 8vo in a contemporary marbled leather binding with red title label with gilt text and rich gilt spine decoration. Marbled front pages. (XIV), 344 p. ,(XXX) + 2 expandable grave. maps of Öland and Gotland and 1 grave. board. With woodcut illustrations in the text. Upper cut trimmed, otherwise a large uncut copy. Last sheet with "Tryck-fehl".
Condition
Band worn with cracked front fold and darkened spine. Repair in upper capital. However, well cohesive. Some more temporary layer stains in the inlay, some passages with slight so-called offsetting. The maps with some spots. Last page brown tinted. Mostly a fresh copy.
