PJ Nyström, Stockholm, 1752. 4:oi a contemporary half-French binding with older handwritten title label on spine. (VIII), 183 p. , (I) + engraved vignette on the title page, another engraved vignette and 30 unfolding copper engravings at the end.
Christopher Polhem, born 18 December 1661 in Tingstäde, died 30 August 1751 in Stockholm, was a Swedish inventor and industrialist called "the father of Swedish mechanics". On the front page a stamp depicting Polhem.
Condition
Binding rubbed on spine and covers, but well held together. Older name on title page at top: A. de Bruce. A few minor stains. A nice copy.
