In a home in Lubhoo in the outskirts of Katmandu, streetchildren live while "Voice of Children" (the nepalese partner-organization of "Childhood Foundation") tries to reunite them with their family or other relatives.
The grounds arount the little centre are in accessible and in a desolate state. "Green Little Fingers" now would like to create a more stimulating and friendly environment allowing the children to heal from traumatic events.
This is why an exceptional photo-auction will be organized on Auctionet.com between December 11th and 18th. The photos are all offered by some of Sweden's most imprtant contemporary photographers. The totality of the funds raised will go without any deductions to an account specifically created for the project of "Green Little Fingers".
"Green Little Fingers" is driven by Marie Lindfors (gardening expert and fashion model) and Elisabeth Lövgren (Garden architect and Set Designer). The idea behind the organization is to create better environments for childen in need of help by creating gardens in various shapes. It can be a football pitch, a playground, a place to gather and rest or grow fruit and vegetables but the therapeutic effect will always be the main focus of a project.
