The Liberty style within architecture, design and arts can be placed around 1890-1920.

The style received different denominations in almost every language.

If you are looking for Liberty items, you will probably find more items by searching “Jugend” (Scandinavia), “Jugendstil” (Germany), "Art Nouveau” (France and many other countries) or “Secession” for Austro-Hungarian items.

Typically, Liberty items such as vases or lamps feature fruits or leaves, many lamps are inspired by trees. Liberty also loves slender female figures bearing a lamp or a candlestick.
Asymmetrical elements are often found on the typically dark Liberty furniture.
