Signed on one side DRG NO DH 5520/H/9 Gipsy II & III, Gipsy Major LH On other side 06-4" P4 11 MAR/35 Length 193.5cm De Havilland was a British aircraft manufacturer founded in 1920 by Geoffrey de Havilland . During the 1920s and 1930s, a large number of Mothars were manufactured, the most popular school and general purpose aircraft of the time. The first examples of de Havilland aircraft were produced by the Aircraft Manufacturing Co (Airco) as well as under license in various countries.

The company also produced engines, above all the 4-cylinder in-line engine Gipsy Major of 130 hp which was used in the well-known Tiger Moth, among other things. Later, jet engines and turboprop engines were also developed.

In 1960 the company was taken over by Hawker Siddeley.

Condition

Normal wear and tear, cracks and minor damage to the outer edges. Protective cover with dents.
