Description

Large table lamp in Art Nouveau style made at the Danish ceramics factory Danico Keramik (active between 1919-29).

Glazed ceramic in predominantly yellow and green shades decorated with floral motifs. Stamped “Danico Made in Denmark” on the bottom.

Height including socket: 48 cm. Diameter: 20 cm.

Condition

Signs of wear from age and use the form of surface scratches and scrapes. Porcelain socket with crack and chip. The socket sits loosely and can be lifted completely from the body of the lamp. The lamp appears with a rattling sound, probably from the bolt used to tighten the loose socket.
