Historian This 1965 Jaguar S-Type was acquired by the current owner in the late 1970s. The car had by then already been partially refurbished by a knowledgeable mechanic with a special interest in Jaguar. A new, meticulous renovation began — including:
Professional refinishing of the body by Rolf Ingersjö, a well-known lacquer from Stockholm.
Wooden interior restored to new condition with eight layers of 2-component polyurethane varnish
Screen edges were changed, floors were repaired and the car was finally assembled.
After a few years of sparse use (about 1,000 miles between 1978—1980), the car was put away in hot garages.
Unfortunately, an engine problem occurred shortly after this — most likely a piston ring has capsized — causing the project to be paused. Now the owner wishes that a new enthusiast will take over and finish the final piece.
Parts for complete car included.
Other parts are also available and can possibly be purchased directly from the seller.

Condition
Parts for finishing included.
Body and chrome in good condition as the car has been stored in a warm garage since 1979. Therefore, we see a body that is fairly free of rust. Rust is found at the jack fasteners.
Unvarnished - a few places where the varnish became a little grainy.
Engine: according to the seller, probably a piston ring that has capsized. Ie unclear engine status
Age-related wear
Marks scratches and memory damage occur
There was a bit of rain on the current day so it can be seen in the picture.
⚠️ However, no guarantees can be given that the car is completely complete can be something that the current owner nevertheless missed.
⚠️ The car has been used sparingly, which may mean that the car is in need of technical overhaul and possible service before the vehicle is put into service.
