Round bag dressed in red and pink suede with orange shoulder strap. Interior in light beige pig suede with small open compartments along edge. Inside marked with label ANDREA PFISTER PARIS made in Italy. Diameter ca 17,5 cm, height ca 8,5 cm. Shoulder strap approx. 80 cm.
Andrea Pfister was born in Pesaro, Italy in 1942. As a child, he moved to Switzerland where he received his education. Later he returned to Italy to study art and languages. In 1961, he took a course in shoe design in Milan. Pfister has always been a couturier; he began his career at the top with Lanvin and Jean Patou at the age of 21. More recently, he created shoes for the Italian fashion designer Mariuccia Mandeli, whose Krizia collections are also often eccentric, as well as for the Bruno Magli brand. Pfister's business has also evolved; in 2001, his company was acquired by Fin. Part Group, which allowed the designer to retain creative control while reaching new markets.
Pfister showed his first shoe collection in 1965, and in 1967 he opened his first shoe store. Pfister broadened his range to include handmade handbags, shawls, leather garments, gloves, scarves and even photo frames, but he remains true to his goal of creating beautiful shoes. His attitude to fashion is relaxed. Pfister's design complements current trends but can also stand on its own two feet. For him, the customer is “the woman who mixes different garments -- for example, a top from Armani, with a skirt from Donna Karan and a jacket from Ferré. My shoes fit best on the woman who is confident enough in herself to create her own combination.“.
