Henry Curionis, Uppsala, (1662). 8vo in a contemporary parchment band with older handwritten back title. (XII), (II), 811 pp., (XI), 50 pp. Second edition of Loccenius's Swedish History. This edition begins with Odin and goes up to Karl X Gustaf.
Collijn Bibliography of Sweden 17th century, 529. Warmholtz Bibliotheca historica Sueo-Gothica, 2518, notes. The second pagination sequence with “Observationes et notæ historicæ”. The first edition was published in 1654. This is the second one that is significantly expanded.
Measuring approx. 16 cm. x 10 cm.
Condition
The band a little mottled and slightly sunny, but a well cohesive band. Inlay with some mostly light layer stains. Older signatures on the title page and on the cover sheet at the back and on the inside of the back cover. Older handwritten notes in Latin on the inside of the front cover and the cover sheet on the front. Some likely contemporary marginal notes.
