Description

Published by Allhem Publishing House and printed in 999 copies, of which this is No. 111. The first work is a facsimile print of the printed original at the Royal Library, the second is a translation of the previous work done by Bertil Widerberg and Anna Rydstedt with facsimile prints of the original's engravings. The first edition of “Faunillane” appeared in quarto in 1741 and was printed according to Tessin's own task in triplicate with engraved illustrations after François Boucher. Sten G. Lindberg describes the writing in “Carl Gustav Tessin and the Girl from Fånö” as follows: “A trifle intended only for the tight-knit family circle, who alone could understand the veiled allusions, the good-naturedly revealing little features, the intricate intrigue, the pre-blossomed environment — this is how the little tale of the Fånömaiden was meant by its author “.
