Description

Jokey shell pieces. First pack, containing bridal writings. The No. 1-5. All that came out. Uppsala, J. Edman, 1777.
4:o. 205 x 175 mm. Modern splash-marbled cardboard ribbon with back label. Several of the poems written in dialect. One of them written by C. Manderström for a court party at Ekolsund in 1777.

Varied dimensions, largest book 205 x 175 mm.

Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the City of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive collection of books consisted mostly of Swedish literature from the 17th to the 19th century, but also many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and also a dedicated and knowledgeable collector, which was reflected in his extensive library.
