VILHELM HEROLD (1865-1937). Bust depicting the actor Otto Zinck (1824-1908), bronze, signed 1905.

Height 41 cm. With foundry stamp from I. Rasmussen broncestøber Kjöbenhavn.
The sculptor was also a world-renowned operatic tenor and later a vocal pedagogue and in a management position at Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen. Reportedly, this bust is one of his first cast works, an identically similar bust was purchased by Statens Museum for Kunst and is in their collections.
