Horatius Flaccus, Quintus (Horace]). Quinti Horatii Flacci Opera I-II. Printed by John Pine, London, 1733-1737.. First edition, first printing with the misprint entry est in the left medallion on page 108 of the second volume. Two 8vo volumes in red morocket bands with gilt back text and gilt back decor as well as gilt decoration and gilt frame on the binders. Inner gilt dentals with blue silk-covered front leaves and completely gold cut.
With a very extensive subscription list.
A famous edition of Horatius' works with engraved frontispires and 225 engraved illustrations as entirely engraved text.

Condition
The bands a little tarnished and one of the volumes with professionally renovated falses. Three small holes on the front cover of the second volume. The inlays mildly stock-stained.
