History
The Coppa Barovier (“Barovier Bridal cup”) was created around the middle of the 15th century by master Angelo Barovier as a wedding gift (it is in fact a wedding chalice). The painted motif shows portraits of the bride and groom enclosed in two medallions as well as scenes of the fountain of love and youth. The original can be found at the Venice Glass Museum in Murano.
Griffon Freres (late 19th - early 20th century)
An Italian workshop, founded by the Griffon brothers, probably of French origin. The store and studio were located in Venice in St. Mark's Square. Specializing in Murano glass, mosaics, beads, art furniture, lamps, mirrors, jewelry and accessories.
