OVE CARLSON
Ove Carlson is a painter and digital graphic artist, born in Gothenburg in 1950, living in Stockholm.
Carlson studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Gothenburg and painting for Philip
von Schantz periodically from 1984 to 1992. Ove Carlson's artistry can be seen as a
exploration of geomeric abstraction. Carlson has also designed and produced furniture.
He early used computers in the creative process and he is the designer of
computer program ArtGen which, guided by the artist, can create images in a constructive spirit.
The artist's art has been exhibited in France, Germany, Poland, Spain and the United States and he is
represented at Arithmeum (Bonn, Germany), Art Center Elblag (Elblag, Poland), Lublin
Museum (Lublin, Poland), State Arts Council, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Norrköpings
Art Museum, Sundsvalls Museum as well as a large number of regions and municipalities and
private collections.
