Framed Fire insurance badge, height 42 cm.

“Fire insurance mark No. 17080 for the Lund Foundation. Granted in Stockholm on 7 November 1837 at the expense of Måns Holmberg and Bolla Persdotter.“

Bolla Persdotter, also known as Bolla Persdotter Holmgren, was a famous person in Skåne during the 19th century. She was born in 1822 in the parish of Trelleborg and became known for being a very significant donor in Lund.

Bolla Persdotter became known for her efforts to improve the fire insurance system in Lund after a devastating fire in 1838. She was also involved in other charitable activities in the city.
