Illustrated with 62 + 143 woodcuts from Johann Grüninger's edition in Strasbourg in 1502. 10 leaf, 205 numbered leaf, (I) blank sheet + 8 leaf, 324 numbered leaf, 10 leaf.

Grüninger's 1502 publication of the Aeneid was edited by Sebastian Brant, who also wrote the well known Ship of Fools in 1494. The woodcuts in the Aeneid are notable in that they depict characters and architecture in contemporary clothing and style. Source Wikipedia.
Condition
The band is in good condition. Nine (9 leaves missing. ¨bl. a.the title leaf loch dewt first full-page woodcut in the introduction to the first part. These sheets are available here in copy in a slightly smaller format. Most of the leaves that are missing come from the table of contents. Submission with some minor repairs and some more temporary spots. Older probably contemporary underlines and notations. Wormholes in the submission, but not hard. Two pages with ink strokes.
