Book, 'Frank Rhodes - A Memoir', by G.T Hutchinson, 'printed for private circulation only' 1908, Francis Rhodes (9 April 1850 – 21 September 1905), was the brother of Cecil Rhodes and an officer of the 1st Royal Dragoons who served in campaigns in the Sudan, 2nd Matabele War and 2nd Boer War, the book comes with a signed photograph of Frank Rhodes 10 cm x 19 cm, together with the book 'Routes in the Western Himalaya, Kashmir, etc, Volume 1, Punch, Kashmir & Ladakh', by Major Kenneth Mason M.C., R.E., published Dehra Dun 1928, there are 3 maps relating to the area covered by the book held in a pocket at the end, two are 1:1,000,000 scale and the other 1:5,068.000 scale.
Condition
Rhodes book in good condition with a little internal foxing, the second book is in good condition as are two of the maps with the third showing wear commensurate with age and use.
