The card is a Persian dagger that was used equally in India and Persia.
Card dagger with sheath and hanger as well as walrus handle, Turkmenistan, around 1820/30, single-edged T-blade made of high-quality wootz damask steel, the dagger end is surrounded by two walrus handles containing inlaid red stones, matching sheath and matching metal and leather hanger.
Length ca. 35.5 cm.
Condition
Age-related signs of wear, minor scratches and abrasions on dagger and sheath. In some cases, stones are missing in the grip area. The hanger shows significant signs of use.
