Militaria. Mankell, Julius, Swedish military historian m. m., (1828-1897). Notes on the history of Swedish regiments. C. E. Fritzes Bookstore (Eklund & Giron), Stockholm, 1864. Elephant folio in a nice blind decorated maroon back band with a large coloured plate central on the front cover and gilt text on top and bottom on the same. Illustrated with 32 coloured lithographs executed by Abrah. Lundquist, Stockholm. The lithographs are framed by decorative paraphernalia which also contains texts identifying the persons on the plates. (IV), 32 Colored Lithographs, 82 pp. text.
The so-called Great Mankell in the variant with only the Swedish uniforms. The second also contains Norwegian uniforms.

Condition

Wear, marks, flakes, dirty. Corner damage to the tape.
