In all 5 volumes. Per Ulrik Kernell (1797-1824) studied in Uppsala and ended up in the circle around Malla Silfverstolpe. After being diagnosed with pneumothorax, he was recommended a trip to the south, but got no further than Erlangen, where he among others. a. became acquainted with Schelling. He died there 13 March 1824 and was buried at the Neustadter Friedhof. The frontispiece of the 2nd-4th editions of the posthumously published book depicts his grave care. Atterbom was his cousin.
Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the City of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive collection of books consisted mostly of Swedish literature from the 17th to the 19th century, but also many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and also a dedicated and knowledgeable collector, which was reflected in his extensive library.
