Bellman, Carl Michael, Swedish skald, (1740-1795). Fredman's Epistles + Music to Fredman's Epistles. 2 vols. Albert Bonniers förlag, Stockholm, without years. Fredman's Epistles are illustrated with 5 coloured lithographs printed at Arnz & Co in Düsseldorf
as well as with a number of black and white vignettes. Published by Joh. Gabriel. Carlén with explanations of words and historical information. 324 pp. Music for Fredman's epistles without publisher, place or year, but obviously connected with the epistles. 195 pp. Two 8vo volumes in dark brown half-ground meadow bands with gilt text and decoration on the backs and binders marbled in blue-green.

Condition

The bands a little chafed and with bleached backs. But well-knit bands. The inlays are layered, but not hard and some e.g. offsetting from the coloured lithographs, i.e. imprints on opposite sides.
