Bellman, Carl-Michael, Swedish skald, (1740-1795). Fredman's Epistles. Printed by Samuel Rumstedt, Stockholm, 1831. 8vo in a contemporary half-French band with gilt back text, sparse gilt back decor and marbled binders. Illustrated with one by prof. Martin engraved portrait of Ulla Winblad as frontespis and an engraved title page with a portrait of Bellman in profile. With a company of Johan Henrik Kjellgren, dated 1790. Frontespis, (XII), 274 p. , (IV).

Condition

The band chafed and scratched but well cohesive. The inlay layer stained. Older signature on the inside of the front cover. Older handwritten text on the back cover page about Bellman's bust.
