Bellman, Carl Michael, Swedish poet and singer, (1740-1795). Bacchi Temple opened on the death of a Hielte. Printed in Kongl. Printing house, Stockholm, 1783. First edition. 8vo in a brown marbled full leather binding with gilt spine text on green label and rich gilt spine decoration. Beautifully marbled front pages. Illustrated with 9 pasted engraved vignettes and with engraved music. The vignettes were engraved by J. F. Martin after his brother Elias Martin's models. (II), 124 p.
Provenance. Bookplate Säbylund.

Condition

The band with rubbed covers and some edge wear. But a well-knit band. The inlay layer stained initially, then a clean and fine copy.
