HISTORY: Alfa images were collectible images that came with the Alfa tablet cases in Sweden during the years 1949-1961. Crafoord Auktioner Stockholm now presents a large collection of Alfa pictures, including the holy grail of collectible pictures, Pelé, in very good condition.

In the 1940s, the collector pictures were introduced in the candy boxes and the so-called Alfa pictures quickly became popular and remained in the 1960s. The alpha images were a hobby for many children, mainly young people interested in sports. The tablet cases included a picture of a sports star with a short presentation on the back. Around 1700 pictures of athletes were issued, originally in black and white, but from 1955 in colour.
The collectible images from Alfa were included in the Alfa Bobby Kola and Alfa Pastill tablet cases. The tablets consisted of hard sweet lumps and many bought the tablets just for the sake of the pictures.
