Harry Lennart Moberg, born July 11, 1927 in Öregrund, died May 7, 2018 in Kristinehamn#2, was a Swedish painter and graphic artist.
Moberg studied art in France 1947-1949 and with Erling Ärlingsson in Karlstad in 1950. He then undertook study trips to France and Spain.
Moberg debuted in an exhibition at the Musées Cagnes-sur-Mer in France in 1949, and later showed his painting at the Värmland museum in 1951 and 1959. Together with Gertrud Bensow-Lööf, Stig Olson, and Ingemar Lööf, he exhibited in Kristinehamn in 1959 and 1960 and in the Stockholm salon at Liljevalch's art gallery in 1959. He also participated in the Swedish Institute's traveling exhibition in 1991-1992.
Among his public works is a decorative painting in Kristinehamn's town hall, and works done for Swedish National Building.
He was awarded the NWT's cultural grant in 1972, the State's large work grant in 1974-1975, the Värmland county council's Fröding grant in 1977 and the Thor Fagerqvist grant in 1987.#3 Moberg is represented at the Värmlands Museum, Örebro County Museum, Gothenburg Art Museum, Örebro County Council#4, Kristinehamn and Säffle municipality's art collections.
He was married to the craftswoman Ruth Moberg and is the father of the artist Carina Moberg-Eyre.
