Hand-coloured engraved map with two cartouches, sea-beast and sailing ships. About 350x465 mm. Contemporary colour.

First printed in 1570. It is one of the first printed renderings of North America's west coast and an early depiction of the northern Pacific.

Condition

Mounted on board and varnished. Some browning and minor spotting. Board with some wear and damages to margins.
