Description
Saxo Grammaticus. The Daneske Krønicke as Saxo Grammaticus screff, halffierde hundrede Aar agoleden: Nu first aff Latinen udsæt, fllittelige offuerseet oc imbeijten, Aff Anders Søffrinssøn Vedel. Printed in Kiøbenhaffn by Hans Støckelman and Andreas Gutterwitz, Anno. 1575. Folio in a later half-French binding with mute spine and marbled covers. Possibly late 18th century band or early 19th century. Title page printed in red and black and with a portrait of Frederick the Great on verso. (XXXVIII), DXLVII (547 p.), (XXXI).

Condition
The band with edge wear and rubbing and some stains, but well put together. The title page, printed in red and black, with a large repair in the lower left part and in the lower right part with some loss of text at the bottom. Layer stained insert and sometimes water stained and ink stained. Some pages with minor margin repair. The first leaves with tears in the outer margin and stained and sunken. Initially apparently contemporary marginal notes. Some passage with some wormholes in the lower part. Some page with a slightly larger stain.
