A small work of art by Adam Lude Döring Color seriesgraph with double signature (once a small stone signature on the picture, a second one by hand on the edge).
A6 format Date of origin: 2004 Size approx. 15cm x 10.5cm Adam Lude Döring (b. 1925 in Dresden, died. 2018 in Besigheim) was a German painter and graphic artist. Today his works can be found in the Gunzenhauser Museum in Chemnitz, in the Würth Museum in Künzelsau-Gaisbach and in the Municipal Gallery in Bietigheim. He also designed some murals, one of which is in the Allianz administration building in Stuttgart.
Originally, his first apprenticeship was at the Reichspost in Dresden. From 1942 he was drafted into military service. After the war he worked for IG Farben in Cologne and in 1950 began an apprenticeship at the Waldorf Academy in Stuttgart. This, however, he broke off and studied at the free art school Albrecht Leo Merk. After that he began to work as a freelance graphic artist and painter. In 1968 he organized his first solo exhibition in Karlsruhe. Numerous national and international exhibitions followed. He also became a member of the Baden-Württemberg Artists' Association and the German Artists' Association. In 1989 he received a professorship from the Baden-Württemberg Prime Minister Lothar Spahn. Finally he died in Besigheim in 2018.
The main subject of his works are people, hands, heads, sports scenes and depictions of everyday life. From the 1960s he became known for his abstract artworks, in which he rejected figurative representations as he considered them "old-fashioned and outdated". He developed the 100-field images: He creates a linear square grid, which is sometimes more and sometimes less visible. He reproduced his figures and motifs on this grid. Döring creates a construct in which colors and shapes mix in a very interesting and playful way, so that what is seen and what is imagined intertwine.
Very good condition; No signs of age or wear, see pictures.
