Black lacquer on all sides, painted cherry blossoms in the salad bowl and on the handles in maki-e, diam. 24 cm, cutlery L. 27 cm, in original packaging with green velvet cover approx. 31x33x9 cm PROVENANCE: Private collection of a shipping clerk with North German Lloyd, who was responsible for East Asia business in Shanghai and Yokohama until 1940.

Condition

Signs of age and use. Minimal scratch marks and preparations. Paint and gold abrasion. Partial chipping. Small chip on the edge of the lip.
