Edelfeldt, Inger, Swedish author and illustrator, b. 1956 Three framed original paintings constituting sketches of the front covers of JR R. Tolkien's The Tale of the Ring trilogy: The Tale of the Ring, The Tale of the Two Towers and The Tale of the Return of the King. The covers themselves measure approx. 16 cm. x 11 cm and in frame 33 cm. x 24 cm. Black frames with acid-free black mat. I have not been able to find exactly these covers for any Tolkien edition in Swedish, so it is probably sketches.
The author and illustrator / artist Inger Edelfeldt was born in 1956 in Stockholm. As a Tolkien illustrator, she is internationally known through her paintings for the 1985 Tolkien Calendar, published in England and the United States.
